Old McHenry Road Construction & Water Main Updates

UPDATED: August 24th, 2018 2:19 p.m.

PLEASE NOTE: This update has been confirmed by the Long Grove Village Manager.

As many know, the Old McHenry Road Water Main Project was completed by Memorial Day, an on time completion by the Village of Long Grove

Since then, additional work has been underway by Lake County. Lake County has completed as much work as possible, but had to postpone their work until AT&T completed their new lines and removed their old lines so that the old poles can be removed. This work is anticipated to be completed by the end of August, 2018. Nicor completed their work on Robert Parker Coffin this week and will be removing their old lines by the end of August, 2018.

Lake County expects to re-start their roadwork the week of Labor Day, but their project is more than 2 months behind schedule due to delays by others. Lake County is working with the Village to expedite their remaining work as much as possible but expect that their project will carry over into next construction season.

Several groups have put together some materials on the Old McHenry Road Construction project in Downtown Long Grove IL, but there is more needed as we continue the move through 2018 (and maybe 2019).

We wanted to create a resource that also could be bookmarked and referenced to make it easier for residents and those surrounding the construction, to better track updates and learn about the project. We intend on keeping this post updated on a weekly basis as news arises.

Here is the most recent list of websites and articles to help keep you informed on the construction.
