Pilot Food Truck Program

The village board approved the expansion of the Food Truck Pilot Program to Sunset Foods at the August 14th, Village Board meeting. Look for Food Trucks at Sunset until December 31st, 2018, when the Pilot Program expires for that location.

The Village Board will be voting on an expansion of the Food Truck Program at this weeks meeting on Tuesday August 14th, 2018. The resolution will allow for one additional location at Sunset Foods. You can read the Resolution here. For more information we would encourage you to attend the meeting and ask questions you might have regarding this program.

The village has approved the Pilot Program, per the Village meeting agenda on July 24th, 2018. Please download the resolution here to read through the requirements of the program for both the Food Truck Operators and the Applicant. The residents in and around downtown will monitor and provide feedback at a public forum when the program is evaluated later this year or early next year.

The village released their resolution to approve the Pilot Food Truck Program. Please find the download here. This resolution will be voted on at the July 24th, 2018 meeting held at Harbor Chase here in Long Grove.

We have submitted a list of recommendations to the village to consider when they discuss the Pilot Food Truck Program. You can download the file here.

From Village Manager David Lothspeich: "The Board discussed and directed counsel to prepare for consideration at the July 24 board meeting.  The draft program will be available no later than the Friday prior to the meeting. "

As outlined in the Daily Herald article, Buffalo Creek Brewing has begun a new Food Truck Pilot in Downtown Long Grove. We have asked the Village of Long Grove for details related to:

• Approved Dates of Operation

• Approved Hours of Operation

• Approved Number of Trucks Allowed on site.

• Any specified requirements as to generator noise allowance and the times of day that is allowed.

We will be notifying the residents shortly on the approved pilot program details. Until then you can read this well informed article on the Herald's website.
